Feeling Adventurous

I am a blog hopper and stalker. Recently I have been checking out some awesome food storage/family preparedness/money saving information and now have an itch to try some new things. On my list of things to try:

-making bread (I have made bread before, but not on a regular basis. But I think I want a bread maker first before I tackle this)
-making my own laundry detergent
-canning
-couponing for realzies (I toyed with it for about a month, but need better help and commitment)
-quilting
-container vegetable gardening in the desert

This week, after reading an excellent how-to, I have decided to give some basic canning a try. I bought some basic supplies today (all that fit into my budget, I will have to improvise the rest), and am going to try my hand at strawberry jam tomorrow.
